Does my text get uploaded anywhere?
No. The QR code is built with JavaScript running in your browser tab. Whatever you type never leaves your device or touches a server.
What does error correction actually do?
It adds redundancy so a code can still scan even if it's partly dirty, damaged, or has a logo placed over it. Lowpacks in the most data with the least redundancy; Highsurvives the most damage but produces a denser code with less room for data. Medium is a solid default.
PNG or SVG — which should I use?
SVG is a real vector, so it stays crisp at any size — best for print or a logo. PNG is a plain image that works everywhere, which is usually all you need for sharing online.
Is there a text length limit?
Yes — QR codes have a real data ceiling that depends on the error-correction level and the content itself. We cap input at 2,000 characters, but very long text may still be too much at a higher error-correction level. If that happens, try a lower level or shorter text.
